Why I Became a Psychotherapist
When I was in my first year of college, my brother was diagnosed with HIV. Dealing with issues like these are not easy, to say the least. The emotional toll was great. Though life presents us with these circumstances, it does not give us an instruction manual on how to deal with them. Even though my brother passed away and unfortunately, my father, too, passed away within one year of each other, their deaths have given me an unexpected gift; a relentless passion to help others overcome their emotional difficulties and gain strength from them as well.
As our emotions can often appear so complicated, I know there had to be an easier way to understand and deal effectively with them. Over the past 25 years, I have worked to develop a unique, realistic and guided approach to positive psychological health that empowers you to overcome your present troubles, but future ones as well. All it takes is your commitment to improve. I truly love what I do and the satisfaction it brings to myself and the people I treat. Most people cannot say they found their ideal job, but I can.
